The Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) is organizing a One Day National Workshop on “Research Publishing and Plagiarism” on 06^th June 2018 at the College of Agriculture (CoA), Padannakad, Kasargode District. University and college teachers, researchers and post graduate and research students can participate.

Interested participants can do practice in subsequent days of the workshop in any College Libraries or University Central Library of KAU. Those attending the workshop will be permitted freely to check similarity of their theses or papers within three months by using the databases and software available here. 

There is no registration fee for KAU participants.  Rs. 300/- is the registration fee for Non KAU participants. This may be remitted by cash on the day of workshop or by online / DD payable to the Librarian, Kerala Agricultural University at State Bank of India, KAU Campus Branch A/c: 57006550740. Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) is organizing a One Week Course on Library Automation, Digital Library Management and Web Tools for Documentation & Information Services during 3-9 August (Thursday – Wednesday) 2017.  The course is organizing at KAU Central Library, Vellanikakra, Thrissur in collaboration with the Academic Library Association (ALA) and Kerala College Librarians’ Association (KCLA).

Topics included in the course:-

2. Digital Library Management
3. Web Tools for Library Services
4. Library Web Designing, Hosting and Data Security
5. Web Content Management using “Drupal”
6. E-Learning Management System: “Moodle”
7. Research Management, Academic Documentation and Publishing

Target Participants:- Librarians working in Colleges and Universities in India.  Sessions and modules are hands on and hence seats are limited.  Participants will be selected on First cum-First Serve Basis.

Course Fee:-

The Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) is organizing a National Workshop on “Research Publishing and Plagiarism” for teachers, scientists and librarians in colleges, universities and research institutes. 

 

The workshop will be held in the University Central Library, Vellanikkara, Thrissur on 29th January 2016. 

 

The workshop includes hands on sessions also.  Those attending the workshop will be permitted to check their theses or research papers for duplication within one year by using the databases and software available here. 

 

Rs. 200/- is the fees for those from outside KAU to be remitted in KAU Account.  Subsidized accommodation will be provided subject to the availability.

 

As seats are limited, interested persons should register in advance with a copy of the consent letter of the institution in which they are working.

National Seminar on “Teaching Role of Librarians” and Technology Exhibition in Kerala Agricultural University during 21-22 August 2015

The Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Thrissur, in association with the Academic Library Association (ALA) and Kerala Library Association (KAL), is organizing a National Seminar on “Teaching Role of Librarians” and Technology Exhibition during 21-22 August 2015.  Collaboration of the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) is also expecting in this seminar and exhibition. 

Qualified librarians, library education teachers and library science students can participate.  Interested professionals can register upto 10^th August.  Registration is free and working lunch will be provided.

 

Expenses towards accommodation and travel should be met by participants. Participants from outside Kerala will provide rent free accommodation on first come first serve basis, subject to the availability. 

 

Towards this, the participants should submit by e-mail at the time of registration a copy of an undertaking from the head of the institution stating that the staff/student will be deputed/permitted to attend the seminar. Unemployed participants may produce this certificate signed by themselves.
